Delta canceled the flights between New York and Tel Aviv

Delta Air Lines announced Thursday that it would suspend flights between New York-JFK and Tel Aviv until December 31, due to escalating security concerns in the Middle East.

The airline said that a travel discount had been provided and asked its customers to prepare for possible changes to their flight schedule to Tel Aviv, including adding off more continuously.

Fears of a wider conflict in the Middle East have prompted international airlines to cancel flights to the region and avoid affected airspace.
