Dell Technologies is holding a “DELL STARTUP CHALLENGE” to support Japanese startups and female entrepreneurs

Dell Technologies Inc. Dell Technologies, whose company motto is “We create technologies that drive human progress,” has launched the “Dell Entrepreneurship Support Program” to support Japanese startups starting in April 2023. We have supported business growth by providing various solutions through technology consultants. In addition, in 2009, we launched the “Dell Women Entrepreneur Network” to support female entrepreneurs, and will hold the “Dell Women Entrepreneur Business Contest” in Japan in 2022 and 2023, and we will do activities to support women entrepreneurs.

We hold the “DELL STARTUP CHALLENGE” as a pitch competition that connects these two programs together.   • Application period: October 1 (Tuesday) to November 22 (Friday), 2024

  • Application requirements

    – Be a start-up company established within 10 years from December 2024.

    ・ Contest applicants are limited to founders or co-founders.

    ・ Please download the designated entry page and enter using the form.

    ・ It doesn’t matter what kind of business you are in. However, please include how you would like to use Dell Technologies technology if you win.

    ・ If the founder or co-founder of the competition candidate is a female entrepreneur, they will be eligible for the DWEN Female Entrepreneur Award.

    ・Corporate registration is required in Japan.

  • Selection criteria

    ・Founding philosophy / innovation: Does your business aim to solve social issues or create new business models (60%)?

    ・ Business model: Is the business model expected to expand in the future (30%)?

    ・Leverage technology: Will your business expand by benefiting from the latest technology from Dell Technologies (10%)?

  • Method of selection
    ・ Document screening: 20 semi-finalist companies will be selected through document screening by Dell Technologies and the competition secretariat.

    ・ Semi-final: Entrepreneurs selected for the semi-final must create a PR video of approximately 3 minutes.

    The judges will evaluate these videos and select 10 finalists.

    ・ Final: Participants will pitch in front of the judges at the venue, and three winners will be selected.

    Prizes can be chosen from a wide range of Dell Technologies IT solutions, including computers, servers, monitors, and peripherals.
