This topic was written by Sultan Al-Qahtani – Dell announced the new versions of the Dell UltraSharp U2724D and UltraSharp U2724DE screens featuring IPS Black technology and a 120 Hz refresh rate.

Dell expands its UltraSharp series with the U2724D and U2724DE, a 27-inch monitor with a display resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels.

The screens feature a combination of IPS Black technology and a 120 Hz refresh rate. The screens also support 2000:1 contrast, 350 nit brightness, and a 98% DCI-P3 color gamut.

Dell has confirmed that sRGB, BT.709, DCI-P3 and Display P3 are factory calibrated with Delta E deviations of <2, and these are the first versions of displays to support the highest TÜV Rheinland Category 5 eye protection standards.

The screens include an HDMI port, a DisplayPort 1.4 port, a 3.5 mm headphone jack, three USB Type A ports, and a USB C port that supports 15 W USB power.

The U2724DE also adds a Thunderbolt 3 port and an RJ45 port, along with a KVM switch. Dell also supports the U2724D and U2724DE screens with ambient light sensors to automatically adjust the brightness level and color accuracy.

The screens will be available on November 9, with the U2724D screen launching at a price of $480, and the U2724DE screen available at a price of $650.
