Technologue.id, Jakarta – Dell encourages companies to apply generative artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
“We are focused on what we will call personal generative AI solutions,” said John Roese, Global CTO, Dell Technologies in a virtual briefing, Thursday (12/10/2023). He further said that this artificial intelligence technology could help companies reach the core of their business.

Roese revealed the importance of companies having the right storage infrastructure, software framework and security strategy in implementing generative AI.
He also said, in order to safeguard private and confidential business data, the right approach is to work with the ecosystem and provide validated designs, reference architectures and easy-to-use solutions.
Dell sees opportunities for applying artificial intelligence technology, especially in the Asia Pacific region. International Data Corporation (IDC) predicts AI investment will increase by more than USD46 billion or around IDR 718.8 trillion, with annual growth (CAGR) of 23.7 percent in 2026 in Asia Pacific.
Asia Pacific leads the global AI landscape and is poised to become one of the fastest growing markets for this transformative technology.
Peter Marrs, President, Asia Pacific and Japan (APJ), Dell Technologies said, the company recorded orders worth more than 2 billion US dollars for Generative AI solutions and products.

He said that the company observes opportunities in applying generative AI in company processes and estimates growth in the AI market.
Marrs also emphasized that the use of generative AI is not limited to one market segment, but penetrates various sectors, including government, advertising, banking, telecommunications operators, and manufacturing.
