Delivery of a refrigerator for the conservation of blood products at the general hospital of Tiassalé

Tiassalé, the administrative and financial director of the Ministry of Health, Public Hygiene and Universal Health Coverage, Sanogo Alpha handed over a refrigerator intended for the secure storage of blood and blood components, at the general hospital of Tiassalé.

By handing over the refrigerator to the prefect of the department of Tiassalé, Vakaba Koné, Mr. Sanogo expressed his gratitude to Minister Pierre Dimba who responded favorably to his plea.

Rejoicing in the donation, Mr. Koné invited Friday, January 20, 2023 the populations to “be regular blood donors so that there is never a shortage in the bank”. For him, one thing is to have a blood bank, but the most difficult thing is to be able to supply it regularly through blood donation sessions which he intends to organize in the days to come.

The blood refrigerator has a capacity of 371 liters, the equivalent of 150 bags of blood and various components that it maintains at a temperature varying between two and six degrees Celsius.
