Delivery NBA remodeled court in Ixtlán

As part of the celebrations for the 75th anniversary of the NBA, the intervened space was inaugurated with a dunk demonstration by the dunker Christian Staples

Oaxaca, Oax.- Representatives of the NBA Mexico, inaugurated the basketball court that they intervened in Ixtlán de Juárez as part of its 75th anniversary.

Children and young basketball players from the community received this gift, which will make this municipality one of the best equipped to practice this sport.

In the presence of authorities from the Sierra Norte, Armando Camarillo from marketing for the NBA Mexico and the sports councilor from Ixtlán, Rosario Ramírez, cut the inaugural ribbon.

In an interview, the director of Marketing for the NBA Mexico, Armando Camarillo, pointed out that the intervention consisted of repairing and binding the courts, in addition to changing the paint with themes inspired by Oaxaca.

The painting was made by the artist Reez Ruiz, who collaborated with Julio Silva and Óscar Akzo.

On the court, boards were remodeled, the nets were changed and the stands were remodeled, where the NBA mascots are now reflected.

For his part, the plastic artist, Julio Alberto Silva explained that the work was inspired by the traditions of Mexico about death.

They are traditions that we will continue to cultivate after we too have left, he said.

The sports councilor of Ixtlán, Rosario Ramírez, mentioned that there is a sports club with more than 135 children who practice basketball and this remodeling is an incentive for them.

As part of the inauguration, the NBA organized a basketball clinic where children and adults enjoyed the techniques and exercises.

In addition to the basket demonstration by Christon Staples, one of the NBA’s dunkers, who took pictures with the attendees.

In Mexico, on the occasion of its 75th anniversary, the NBA will intervene another field in Torreón, Coahuila; the second in Oaxaca and the third will be in Mexico City.
