Deliverance II. This will be a mega hit again! – SMARTmania.cz

  • Developers from Warhorse Studios have released 25 minutes of Kingdom Come: Deliverance II gameplay footage
  • Most of the mechanisms have been preserved, however minor changes are felt at every step
  • The game will be released early next year, specifically on February 11

The sequel to the medieval RPG Kingdom Come: Deliverance from the Warhorse studio is undoubtedly among the most anticipated games in the country. Although fans have to deal with a last-minute delay, at least the official gameplay that appeared on the studio’s channel is a small patch for them. It shows various aspects of the game and the current state of the graphics. It also gives us an insight into a proper medieval town, which is Kutná Hora. What else does the nearly half-hour recording reveal?

Jindra returns, this time to a bigger and richer world

Right from the start, the main character Jindřich sets out to find a gambler who is supposed to be in the village of Bylany. They are very helpful at the local pub and take Jindra to Ranyek. However, he is found at the bottom of a large pile of animal excrement, in which he died while trying to escape from his creditors. Jindřich has no choice but to roll up his sleeves and pull out his body, because Ranyek should have a rare bow with him. Jindra succeeds in this, but he wants to keep the bow as compensation for his hardships. This results first in a fist fight and then in a gun fight.

The game will react to your actions, good or bad

Combat was an integral part of the first Kingdom Come, and the second installment will be no different. Again, we can look forward to a specific system of fighting through the rose, however, from the footage it seems that the developers have worked on the fluidity and often senseless difficulty of the fights. The world will also react to Jindřich according to how he dresses or if he forgot to wash himself on Friday.

The central point of Kindgom Come: Deliverance II is undoubtedly the city of Kutná Hora. We have only piecemeal information about its size for now, but from the footage it looks like we will finally see a full-fledged city. In a short montage, the authors explain that Jindřich does not have to be just a good knight next door, but that the player can profile him as a real badass who steals, murders and insults everyone around. Apparently, there will also be consequences for negative behavior, and if you’re not careful, you can very easily end up in the sack. The graphics side is very similar to the previous game, after all it is built on the same engine, however it still looks very good. So don’t expect a radical shift, but we hope to see much better optimization than was the case with number one.

If you don’t treat those around you nicely, the game will punish you accordingly

Random encounters that can lead you to unexpected tasks are interesting. As an example, the developers presented an interaction with a random villager who then robs you and tries to escape. What I do like is the detail where the merchant in the town speaks German (even though the demo is dubbed in English), which only adds to the immersion. The food system has also been preserved, so in addition to regularly feeding the main character, you will have to be careful if the food in your inventory is spoiled and therefore potentially dangerous.

Most of the mechanics will remain unchanged

In the next part of the video, the developers present stealth and ambush kills when Henry discovers a camp from which he is quickly expelled. Also in this case, the mechanics of noise and visibility, which are directly affected by your equipment, have been preserved. In short, you are more noticeable in a ring shirt and steel boots than in black leather armor and bare feet. As part of sneaking, you can not only ambush unsuspecting victims and stab them with a dagger, but you can also use a crossbow. If you need to attract someone’s attention, you can simply whistle. What may not please everyone is the old well-known saving mechanism through the drink Sejvovice.

In addition to crossbows, we will also see early firearms

At the end of the video, Jindřich goes in search of a Pole named Adder. The butcher’s wife directs him to do this – because Adder was looking after her all night, but he didn’t count on a jealous husband. The latter is about to hang him outside the village, while the fact that Adder is shouting at the butcher in Polish is pleasing here again. Although the butcher does not understand him, it is certainly not much needed, because Adder is definitely not afraid of death. However, Jindřich arrives at the last moment and through dialogue tries to convince the butcher to release Adder. But a poorly chosen dialogue option, when Jindřich tries to ridicule and humiliate the butcher, results in the exact opposite, i.e. an attempt to hang the Pole and an armed skirmish. Just like in the first game, this time you’ll have to be very careful with your mouth.

The game will be released on February 11 next year
