Dr. Mercado pointed out that the start of the campaign was set for November 6, but neither the place nor the time have yet been defined, which is why they are waiting for instructions from the Ministry of Health of the State Government. .

In addition, he mentioned that the vaccination schedule will be applied for children, young people and adults who are pending immunization. He recalled that the most important vaccines for children are applied from zero to nine years of age, which is why it is important for the campaign to be carried out.
He recalled that the Covid-19 vaccine is also being injected, but since the one supplied is Abdalá, it is no longer effective against the Ómicron variant and its subvariants, which are highly contagious. For this reason, Dr. Mercado only recommended it for those who have never been vaccinated against Covid.
Regarding vaccination against influenza, he highlighted that in these last two weeks they have observed a good response from citizens, who immediately approach the module to have the biological administered.
The vaccine, he noted, is recommended for children from six months to five years of age, and for adults over 65 years of age, as well as vulnerable people: pregnant women, obese, hypertensive and diabetics, although it is also injected into citizens in general. .
