Delhi Government Plans Monthly Cultural Events to Promote Tourism Ahead of G20 Summit

New Delhi: The Delhi government has planned to organize at least one cultural event every month to promote tourism ahead of the G20 summit.

Preparations for programs including state-level dance and film festivals are being conducted under the leadership of the tourism department.

The plan is to conduct one event per month. An official of the tourism department said that programs like concerts, theater festival and mango festival are being planned. Delhi’s first International Film Festival will be held at the Siri Fort Auditorium in August.

Officials informed that the detailed programs will be decided within a month and a half and priority will be given to films from G20 member countries. More than 200 meetings will be held at 55 locations in India as part of the G20.

The G20 summit is being held in New Delhi on September 9 and 10. European countries include Argentina, Australia, Brazil, Canada, China, France, Germany, India, Indonesia, Italy, Japan, Republic of Korea, Mexico, Russia, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Turkey, UK, US and G20 Union.
