Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal met with his Bihar counterpart Nitish Kumar and Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav in Delhi to discuss a potential coming together of opposition parties to challenge the BJP in the Indian national election next year. The meeting followed formal talks between the Congress Party and the Janata Dal (United) with a view to increasing opposition unity against the BJP in the election. The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) currently holds power, and Kejriwal has accused them of being the most corrupt government in the country’s history. Kumar is expected to continue talks with other opposition leaders in Delhi, including DMK’s MK Stalin and Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray.
