delphine gomez, head of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP) presented the Centennial Library made up of almost 2 million books that will be distributed in all public libraries in the country, as part of the celebrations for the 100 years of the SEP.
“(It is a pleasure) to present the SEP Centennial Library which contains 172 titles from various publishers in the country and abroad in an attempt and a desire to promote what reading is in our children and adolescents, and in all those who make up the school community”, said Gómez Álvarez in the morning conference this Thursday.
The secretary maintained that this delivery is to “give continuity to the celebration of 100 years of the creation of our SEP We started last year.”
He highlighted that 11 thousand 300 collections are delivered that will be distributed in all the libraries of the country, adding a total of 1 million 943 thousand books.
Finally, he expressed: “Let no one be left without the joy of having a book in their hands, of being able to approach knowledge through one of the most transcendental inventions of humanity, which was precisely books.”
