If you want to delete the Facebook application, the procedure depends on the version of Android and the smartphone. Most of the time, however, it works as follows: Open your smartphone settings. Go to “Applications” or “Apps”. Find and open the Facebook app. Select “Uninstall”. Confirm uninstallation. On some Samsung smartphones, you can also simply tap the app icon on the start screen, then select “Uninstall.” If the “Uninstall” function is not available on Android, the Facebook app is preinstalled. Then it can only be removed by rooting the phone.

You can also remove the Facebook app from the iPhone or iPad in no time: find the Facebook app icon. Press and hold it until it starts shaking. A black cross will appear in the upper left corner. Press the cross. Confirm by pressing “Delete”. No data will be lost by deleting. Only temporary files that the app needs to run the program are stored in your device’s cache. Your photos, messages and publications remain stored on Facebook. If you have multiple Facebook apps installed, such as Messenger or Page Manager, you need to remove each app individually. If you reinstall any of the apps, you will need to log in again with your credentials. If you want to delete your entire Facebook account, it also only takes a few steps.
