Today, April 25, with the assistance of the Embassy of Kyrgyzstan in the UK, the President of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Temir Sariev is on a two-day visit to London to meet and establish contacts with the city’s Chamber of Commerce and Industry, a number of British government departments and business companies. This was reported by the press service of the Foreign Ministry.
The group of entrepreneurs who arrived with Temir Sariev included representatives of associations of agricultural producers and the textile industry.
During the meeting of the head of the CCI and Ambassador Ulan Dzhusupov with the UK government agencies (the Foreign Office and the Ministry of Business and Trade), the issues of implementing the new DCTS trade preference provided by the United Kingdom, which provides wide access to the British market for Kyrgyz goods on a duty-free basis, were discussed.
In practical terms, the parties discussed potential problems and their solutions, the structure of exports, logistics routes, certification of export products. They also noted the importance of intensifying trade ties and practical implementation of relations between the two states with an emphasis on promoting trade and investment.
During the meeting at the British Foreign Office, the delegation was briefly welcomed by the Secretary of State for Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, James Cleverley.
On the second day of Temir Sariev’s visit, meetings are scheduled at the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry, the Institute of Export and Trade, as well as in British companies.
