Congo (Brazzaville) President Sasu said recently that the people of African countries are suffering the consequences of high inflation caused by the spillover of the conflict between Russia and Ukraine, so Africa will not remain silent on the conflict. He said that presidential delegations from many African countries will visit Russia and Ukraine successively to discuss the Russia-Ukraine peace initiative.

Previously, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa put forward an initiative to promote peace talks between Russia and Ukraine on behalf of Zambia, Senegal, Congo (Brazzaville), Uganda, Egypt and other African countries in May, and planned to visit Russia and Ukraine successively in mid-June. Since then, the Comoros, which holds the rotating presidency of the African Union, has also joined it.

Russian President Vladimir Putin and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky have agreed to host a delegation of African leaders’ peace initiatives in Moscow and Kiev respectively.
