Delegate of National Education Visits Schools in Doba, Chad to Assess Progress and Teacher Presence

The delegate of National Education of Oriental Logone, Liguidam Djoïgué Robert, made an unannounced visit to the educational establishments of Doba on January 18, 2024. Objective, to note the progress of the courses and also the effective presence of teachers in the classes.

The visit began with the official school in the Yeuldanem district in the 4th district of the commune of Doba, passing through the Pascal Yoadimnadji high school to the private Walter Ganz high school via the official school of Beraba.

This series of unannounced visits initiated by the delegate of National Education and Civic Promotion of Eastern Logone Liguidam Djoïgué Robert comes 10 days after the call for the resumption of classes launched by the provisional national office of the teachers’ union of Chad . Everywhere the delegate went, the message was the same: to encourage the students themselves to become aware of their future and their success in the basic education certificate and baccalaureate exams.

Liguidam Djoïgué Robert asks students to organize training groups and catch-up classes at home in order to fill the gaps caused by the strike. In each establishment, the delegate questions the heads of establishments about the actual presence of teachers and takes note of the teachers absent in their posts.

According to Liguidam Djoïgué Robert, real discipline must begin first with the teachers themselves before the students. This is why he instructs school heads to do their job normally to restore the education system in Eastern Logone to its former glory. For the delegate, the visit will continue throughout the entire province of Logone Oriental.
