A huge fright but fortunately no serious injury for Dele Alli. The Daily Mail reports that the Tottenham player was the victim of a violent burglary early Wednesday morning at his north London home.
The suspects have fled
According to the British daily, the English international was threatened by a knife and beaten in the face. However, he is said to have suffered no serious injuries. The police opened an investigation in the process. “The police were called around 12:35 am Wednesday, alerted about a burglary, said a police spokesman.”
Two individuals broke into the Spurs star’s home, confined with his partner, brother and girlfriend, and a longtime friend. The thieves were reportedly looking for jewelry and watches and eventually fled. Dele Alli is slated to resume training next week, pending a hypothetical Premier League recovery.
