The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had delays in issuing Ukrainian passports abroad due to the termination of the agreement between the Ministry and the printing plant “Ukraine”.

The shipment of passports ordered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs has been suspended since April 21.
According to the director, the polygraph plant “Ukraine” applied to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in advance with a proposal to conclude a new contract due to the fact that the current one is coming to an end. The delay in the conclusion of the next contract for the production and shipment of passports arose due to the lack of funds from the ministry to finance these costs.
Bondarenko noted that the Cabinet of Ministers allocated funds from the Foreign Ministry’s reserve fund of the state budget. Taking into account the allocated budget, the polygraph complex “Ukraine” prepared an agreement, which was submitted for signature to the ministry.
The company is ready to ship passports to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in full immediately after signing the contract.
It is worth noting that in a number of European countries, subdivisions of the state enterprise “Document” have opened, which provides passport services for Ukrainians staying there.
Subdivisions of SE “Document” are already operating in four cities of Poland (Warsaw, Krakow, Gdansk and Wroclaw), Turkey (Istanbul), Slovakia (Bratislava), Czech Republic (Prague), two cities of Germany (Cologne and Berlin), as well as in Spain.
