Delays in bus traffic

Due to the closure of Kirchstrasse in Veitshöchheim and the associated bypass with traffic light switching, there are delays in the operational flow of bus traffic, it says in a press release.

The buses of lines 11 and 19, which are scheduled to run through the old town of Veitshöchheim, must be rerouted from June 8, 2020. Until the end of November 2020, the “Schneckenhaus” and “Kirchplatz” stops will still not be available in either direction. A stop has been set up in the city center as a replacement in Seinsheimstrasse. Since the constriction in Echterstrasse is regulated with a traffic light system, delays in the course of the journey can occur.

The changes on line 11, direction of travel Veitshöchheim (Birkental): Coming from Würzburg, the stops “Friedrich-Ebert-Straße” and “Am Schenkenfeld” are served according to the timetable. The route leads via the B 27 in the direction of Birkental or, when traveling without a Schenkenfeld, directly onto the B 27 to the Birkental exit and on to the plan.

Driving direction Veitshöchheim (garden settlement): Coming from Würzburg after operating the “Rothof” or “Rothofstraße” stop, the route on the B 27 leads to the Birkental exit and Friedhofstraße to the stop of the same name. After operating the “Thüngersheimer Straße” stop and the “Bilhildisstraße” stop in Bahnhofstraße, the scheduled route is resumed.

Direction Birkental in the direction of Würzburg: After the “Sendelbachstraße” stop without operating the old town, the detour via the B 27 in the direction of Würzburg to the Altort / Schenkenfeld exit via the “Friedrich-Ebert-Strasse” stop continues as planned to Würzburg.
