Arsenal’s opening Premier League match against Nottingham Forest was delayed by 30 minutes on Saturday due to a problem with the turnstiles at the Emirates Stadium that left thousands of fans unable to enter on time.
The match was scheduled to start at 12:30 pm local time (11:30 GMT), but it was postponed due to a problem with Arsenal’s new digital ticket system.
Television footage showed thousands of fans waiting outside the stadium 10 minutes before kick-off, with a small crowd inside the 60,000-capacity stadium.
Shortly after, the turnstiles were opened and the stadium appeared to be full by the time the match started, at 1pm local time (1200GMT).
