In the Berlin district league, the game between Delay Sports and Al-Dersimspor II had to be abandoned after violent riots.
Berlin, Germany – There are unpleasant scenes in Berlin’s district league. During the game between Delay Sports, the team of Twitch streamer EliasN97, and BSV Al-Dersimspor II, the current team of former national player Max Kruse, there were frightening scenes after a goal was scored in injury time. The game even had to be stopped after spectators used violence. EliasN97 and Max Kruse have already spoken out.

This happened: It was the first meeting between Delay Sports and BSV Al-Dersimspor II in the district league in Berlin. There could hardly be more famous clubs in the capital. While Delay Sports is the club of several Twitch streamers such as EliasN97 and Sidney Friede, as well as some former professionals, Al-Dersimspor was able to welcome the services of former national player Max Kruse last summer.
After a thrilling match, which was still 2:2 after 90 minutes, there was a lot of extra time. In the fifth minute of extra time, Delay Sports managed to make it 3:2. Several Al-Dersimspor fans then stormed the pitch and pushed the Delay Sports players. One player was even reportedly hit. What followed was a mob formation, the game was abandoned and the police were called in before the situation could be brought under control again. Violence was also used against Niklas Sommer by the Nuremberg Ultras.

EliasN97 speaks out: Delay Sports and club president EliasN97 were shocked by what happened. The influencer club from Berlin has often had to fight with excited fans or streakers, but the riots against Al-Dersimspor represented new dimensions. “Emotions are part of football. […] But then people start attacking ours. What the hell is that?“ EliasN97 was visibly outraged and angry about the incident in the district league.
Max Kruse also commented immediately on the abandonment of the game against Delay Sports via Instagram story: “Violence has no place in football. I would like to take this opportunity to apologize to our team and the club that it has even come to this point, with spectators storming the pitch. This simply cannot be allowed.“, said the former national player. Opponents are not only Max Kruse and EliasN97, but also their Baller and Icon League.
