In addition to the delayed new bridge, more than two years after the bridge collided, there is still no temporary solution to cross the Van Starkenborgh Canal. In March this year it became clear that there are also problems here: the temporary ramps for cyclists cannot yet be constructed because the bank turned out to be too soft to build the structure. This ramp will take cyclists from the embankment to the current bicycle bridge. Although work is now being done on an alternative, the fact is that it may take some time before that alternative is ready.
