Foxes spin game in Ravensburg

The Lausitzer Füchse celebrated their third victory in a row. In the Ravensburg Towerstars, the Saxons got the upper hand with 5: 3. The Füchse were already behind after 35 seconds and had to cope with the second goal (15th) before the first siren. In the middle third, the Lausitzer turned the game on and through the goals of Sebastian Streu (26th), Rylan Schwartz (28th) and Fabian Dietz (35th). In the last section, Schwartz (46th) extended the lead to 4: 2. Although the Ravensburger came up again with an outnumbered goal (51st), but Tomas Andres made everything clear for Weißwasser in the final minute.

Ice pirates run out of breath

The ice pirates Crimmitschau, however, went away empty-handed. At the Bietigheim Steelers, the West Saxons lost 4-2. Crimmitschau had to run after an early deficit (1st), which Mathieu Lemay equalized in the 16th minute. As a result, the West Saxons showed a strong second third, but did not reward themselves. Meanwhile, the Steelers took the lead again shortly before the end (40th). After the well-deserved equalization by Travis Ewanyk (41st), Bietigheim increased the pressure, while the ice pirates gradually ran out of strength. The hosts took advantage of this coldly and sealed the Crimmitschau defeat with two more goals (50th / 55th).

Dresden has no chance against Freiburg

The Dresden ice lions suffered a significant defeat in the first home game of the new year. In the duel against EHC Freiburg, the score was 1: 5 in the end. Simon Danner opened the scoring for the guests in the 11th minute. The Saxons rose in the middle third. However, 28 shots remained without countable success. Meanwhile, Luca Trinkberger (31st) increased for the Breisgauer. In the hard-fought final section, the EHC pulled away to 5-0 through further goals from Jordan George (48th), Marc Wittfoth (52nd) and Chad Bassen (58th). For Dresden it was only enough for the consolation goal that Thomas Supis scored seven seconds before the last siren.
