Dejan Vasiljevic will have the chance to fight for a spot on the Wizards squad in the next training camp, since the capital organization has signed him an Exhibit 10 contract; informs Olgun Uluc of ESPN.
Without being chosen in the 2020 draft, this player born in Canada decided to sign that same year with the Sydney Kings of Australia, a team with which he has been playing for three years. In the last season, 2022-23, he has averaged 13.4 points, 4.3 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.
Despite the fact that his career has been developing outside the United States, Vasiljevic has never lost sight of the NBA; so much so that in 2022 he played the Las Vegas Summer League with the Phoenix Suns, and that in 2023 he has done the same with Washington to go to an average of 7.3 points in 12.7 minutes per game.
Now, with a contract that opens the doors to the G League, Vasiljevic will fight to gain ground in the Wizards and perhaps win the two-way contract that they still have available. With its acquisition, those from the US capital now have 20 players on their squad.
