The president, however, preferred to go straight, attacking the government and hiding behind the need to strengthen health training given the Covid emergency. But the theme is not the course, on whose importance we agree, but how to finance it. Now, therefore, a problem opens up: the University of Padua has allocated resources and staffed to organize everything, Zaia can therefore find the money and stop with this superficial propaganda that only does damage ». This is the harsh comment of the deputy leader PD Vanessa Camani regarding the acceptance by the Council of the appeal presented by the Presidency of the Council of Ministers. “The ruling confirms that the Region has the power to define the activation of the university course and to allocate resources for the payment of teachers, but it cannot subtract them from those destined to assist citizens. The Regional Health Fund is bound to the financing of the services provided by the Lea, whose determination is the responsibility of the state. Everyone is losing out with this dispute: universities, healthcare and, more generally, the Venetians, because going through legal channels is not free. It would have been enough to change the financial rule a year ago to avoid chaos, now it becomes mandatory. The degree course is needed, Zaia and his council find the resources ».
