166 Objections to antenna project: Degersheim is not only defending itself against 5G technology

The widespread skepticism about the planned retrofitting of Salt’s antenna system in Degersheim was reflected in 166 objections. In other municipalities in the Wil / Toggenburg region, too, the majority of the renovation and new construction projects for cell phone antennas that require approval do not have it easy.

5G – no thanks. The campaign against the planned “technological retrofitting” of the existing Salt antenna on Degersheimer Weierwiesstrasse, especially via the local Facebook group, has achieved its preliminary goal: the ranks of critics and skeptics have become dense. 166 objections were received during the project’s initial period. “In fact, it was their 17 and 149 signatures,” said Mayor Monika Scherrer. However, the latter would be treated as individual objections.
