This ordnance has to be defused by the ordnance disposal service of the Arnsberg district government. The affected area must be evacuated within a radius of 250 meters around the site. This affects around 1300 residents (see map).

According to the ordnance disposal service, the spontaneous find must be defused today because the bomb was found, moved and ignited today.
Carrying out both measures together would have meant uncovering the suspected bomb point on Novi Sad Square today. If the suspected bombing point on Schwanenwall was confirmed, critical infrastructures, such as a senior citizens’ home within the radius on Sunday, a dementia group and the prison would have to be cleared immediately. Only about 50 residents are affected by the two overlapping radii. They have to leave their apartment / house both today and on Sunday. Merging the two measures today would not have had any synergy effects.
During the evacuation, bus route 452 takes a detour via Saarlandstrasse, Märkische Strasse, Ostwall, Hamburger Strasse and Klönnestrasse. The stops Olgastraße, Heiliger Weg, Moltkestraße, Bismarckstraße, Düsseldorfer Straße (only in the direction of Geßlerstraße) Von-der-Golz-Straße (only in the direction of Geßlerstraße). The Funkenburg stop will be moved to Klönnestrasse.
