Legendary rockers AEROSMITH had to prematurely end their “Peace Out” farewell tour, which began last September. 76-year-old singer Steven Tyler has irreversibly damaged vocal cords. AEROSMITH they are thus forced to end their concert career after five decades on the scene.
AEROSMITH they wrote a long and touching statement on social networks. “You all are the reason we made rock’n’roll history. It was an honor for us to have our music become a part of you. In clubs, on tour, at big celebrations and private moments, we have become the soundtrack of your lives.” the band wrote, adding: “Steven’s voice is an instrument like no other. He spent months working tirelessly to get his voice back to where it was before the injury. Although he has the best medical team by his side, it is now unfortunately clear that a full recovery is no longer possible.”
The rockers finally thanked everyone: “A final thank you to all of you, the best fans on planet earth – play loud, now and forever. You made our dreams come true.”
And we thank you for more than 50 years of rock’n’roll and for immortal hits like „Crazy“, “Cryin'”, „Dream On“, „I Don’t Want To Miss A Thing“ and many others!
