The Gabon water and energy company has explained itself after the disturbances seen in the electricity supply in some areas of the 5th arrondissement in Libreville.
According to SEEG’s press release, from Monday November 11, 2024, “an underground high voltage cable has caused several incidents on the distribution network, leading to a lack of electrical energy supply to the neighborhoods of Mindoubé I & 2, IAI, SMAG, Sogatol, Soduco, Ozoungué, INJS and Lalala on the right, and consequences on part of the districts of Beau-séjour and Lalala Dakar.
First, it was an incident related to the sudden change in the load on the Greater Libreville electricity network,” we read.
Before adding that the technical teams have moved on from the event working hard to make the necessary repairs so that the electrical service can be completely restored which should happen as soon as the work is finished.
Finally, SEEG apologizes to its kind customers.
