“The aerospace industry is providing an innovative response to the evolving threats against the State of Israel”
Defense Minister Yoav Gallant arrived on Monday for a tour of the factories and facilities of the Israeli Aircraft Manufacturing Company (IAI). He was accompanied by the new director general of the Ministry of Defense, Major General Eyal Zamir, and he was received by the president of the aerospace industry Amir Peretz, the CEO of the company Boaz Levy and the secretary of the Organization Yair Katz workers.
The Defense Minister received a comprehensive review from aerospace industry leaders on the company’s activities in space, precision weaponry and air defense systems.
Later, the minister visited the weapon system complexes and observed the innovative military capabilities being developed by aerospace industry personnel. The minister also spoke with engineers from the company and commended them for their contribution to the security of the State of Israel.
“As the central organ of the Israeli defense system, the aerospace industry provides an innovative response to the evolving threats against the State of Israel, through which we maintain its strategic superiority in the Middle East,” said the minister. “The actions of the aerospace industry have many meanings for the State of Israel – security, economic and political. The engineers and workers of the aerospace industry are a prime center of knowledge for the security of Israel. With the help of the developments taking place here, the overall capacity of the State of Israel is strengthened,” he claimed.
