Mexico City.- After a fourth arrest warrant was executed for alleged participation in the crime of torture against the former prosecutor of Morelos, his defense, the lawyer Pedro Navaconsidered that this order violates the jurisdiction it has, since “it is enforceable against all prosecutors’ offices in the country, including the General Prosecutor of the Republic (FGR)”.
In interview with MILLENNIUM Television clarified that this new order is the one that currently keeps Uriel Carmona confined in the Altiplano prison and he hoped that he could be released today, since “there is no element in either Mexico City or Morelos.”
Meanwhile, to his alleged participation In the crime of torture, he pointed out that “there are already police officers under trial and hierarchically it has nothing to do with the prosecutor.”
“ Today we can obtain the freedom of the prosecutor regarding the accusation of Morelos; In the other processes, in Mexico City, the federal courts already decided that he should face them in freedom,” he explained.
He highlighted that the action of the Anticorruption Prosecutor’s Office of said entity “is worthy of attention” as it has not been issued by the prosecutor in charge of the matter.
“ The anti-corruption prosecutor warned that he was going to ask for a license and in the afternoon, with a person in charge of the office, is when this entire request for order is carried out.”
