Swedish influencer Bianca Ingrosso (26) has recently received harsh criticism for her Christmas calendar from her make-up brand Caia Cosmetics.
Now her father, Emilio Ingrosso (56), has had enough and goes to Instagram to tell what he thinks about the criticism of his daughter.
– I ask you, as father and man: see her. She is an ordinary girl, just like your sister or daughter. With a heart and feelings just like you have. The hatred you carry should not be passed on to her, he writes in his Instagram profile.
Do not try to fool anyone
In the post, Emilio writes that he understands that someone may be disappointed with a product, that someone thinks the calendar is too expensive or did not get what they hoped for.
However, he emphasizes that his daughter never tried to deceive anyone.
– We who know her know this and everyone who runs their own business with a little honor in it understands that, he says.
Emilio says that Caia is like Bianca’s baby and that she loves her job and is passionate about it – in addition to her customers.
Bianca herself has commented during the post where her father defends her and wrote: “Love you most of all” along with several hearts on Instagram.
– Buried in hatred and threats
The interest in Caia Cosmetics’s Christmas calendar has been great, and it sold away for 36 million kroner in just one hour.
In retrospect, several fans and customers have slipped over the contents of the calendar and believe, among other things, that it is far too expensive compared to what is in it.
In the comments field to Cosmetics on social media, several have left negative comments about the calendar.
– Terribly bad calendar. Feels incredibly sorry for younger girls who may have saved money to be able to buy this and want to get this shit, one writes.
– Should this have a value of NOK 3,000? It’s a joke, writes another.
Bianca herself has also received some of the criticism that has been leveled at the Caia product. Emilio says that his daughter has now understood the customers’ dissatisfaction and believes that Caia as a company must solve this through the company, not she as an individual.
– That’s enough now! She is completely buried in hatred and threats. She is accused of one unreasonable thing after another, says Emilio and reminds customers that it is only a question of a Christmas calendar.
Defends the Christmas calendar
Previously, Bianca has responded to the criticism she has received from Swedes Aftonbladet where she says that she herself loves the content of the Christmas calendar:
– Personally, I love travel size products, and after analyzing other Christmas calendars, it seems like people love travel sizes as much as me. If it does not appeal to you, it is boring to hear, but then we have different views on it.
She also defended the price of the calendar by explaining that, among other things, only the toiletry bag that comes with it is worth 400 kroner. The other products are also tailor-made, in a limited edition and expensive to make according to herself.
– I made a Christmas calendar with products that I myself love. Products are personal, and everyone has the right to have their opinion. Of course, it’s boring with dissatisfied customers, but we are certainly not alone in having travel sizes in a Christmas calendar.
