FAJAR.CO.ID, JAKARTA — Not accepting that the General Chair of the National Mandate Party (PAN), Zulkifli Hasan (Zulhas), was criticized because of his joke that touched on prayer services, Dimas Prakoso Akbar offered his defense.
The young PAN spokesperson said that the joke made by Zulhas during the national working meeting (rakernas) of the All Indonesian Market Traders Association (APPSI) was intended to encourage the audience not to be divided because of the 2024 presidential election.
“Inviting that the 2024 presidential election not cause divisions, let alone bringing it to the issue of prayer, prayer, tahiyat,” said Dimas in his statement on the X application @dimaskbarz (20/12/2023).
Because of the clip of the video circulating, said Dimas, Zulhas suddenly became a trending topic.
“Mr. Zulhas is a trending topic. My mention tab is also busy with annoying keywords,” he said.
We were touched on the matter of a Komika from Lampung named Aulia who was questioned by Sub-Directorate O for State Security (Kemneg) of the Lampung Regional Police’s Criminal Investigation Directorate for committing religious harassment. Dimas admitted that Zulhas would not reach that stage.
“It won’t happen. Wong just cuts the video to catch up on the number of viewers and insults. Later in the afternoon I’ll post the one that wasn’t cut. And I’ll add the exact joke from Ustaz Adi Hidayat and Ustaz Abdul Somad,” said Dimas, continuing his statement.
In the video uploaded by Dimas, he juxtaposed it with a video of a conversation between Anies Baswedan and Ustaz Abdul Somad (UAS), as well as a lecture by Ustaz Adi Hidayat (UAH).
In the middle of the video, UAS is seen chatting with Anies and discussing Prabowo’s supporters who no longer follow the guidance during tahiyat or tasyahud.
