Blind is originally from Ajax, for whom he played 333 competitive matches and won seven league titles. From 2014 to 2018 he wore the Manchester United shirt, in 2010 he was a guest in Groningen.
For his country, the son of former Ajax and Dutch international star Danny Blind has already collected 99 caps. In 2010 he won silver with the team at the World Cup, this year in Qatar the Dutch were eliminated in the quarter-finals on penalties against eventual champions Argentina.
