Today, Sunday, the Cairo Criminal Court, detained in the Fifth Settlement, led by Councilor Atef Rizk, began examining the first session of the trial of Ahmed Gamal Farghali (director of the Complaints Department at Port Said University – who is in custody) in the case known to the media as “the owner of the Suez Road accident”.

The defendant’s defense claimed that the car was not under the control of the defendant, because the glass had been broken and attacked, explaining that the defendant had been attacked and dragged, and the search was completely invalid.

The defendant’s defense added that the car door was broken, so the defendant seemed to support him with his foot to keep from falling, explaining that the car was on an “Uber” trip to deliver one of the women.

He added that the defendant was using a sedative drug which gave the same effect in the blood as narcotics, and that the accused came from a respectable family and a respectable job, and had never been reckless under any circumstances in all of his life.

The lawyer Hamada Al-Sawy, Public Prosecutor, had previously sent the accused to the criminal trial before the Criminal Court at the end of the investigations conducted with him without the knowledge of the Public Prosecutor’s Office, which had accused him of having committed 3 crimes represented in possession with intent to abuse the substance (tramadol) in cases other than those authorized by law, and who was arrested with intent to use two narcotic substances (amphetamines and methamphetamines) in cases other than those authorized by law , and driving a vehicle (an angel’s car) recklessly and without caution in case he was under the influence of drugs, the subject of the second charge, on the Cairo-Suez road.

The list of evidence in the case included the testimony of 4 witnesses, in addition to what was shown in the report by the central laboratories of the Forensic Medicine Authority that the samples taken by the defendant indicated that he had taken the substance of the amphetamine and methamphetamine drugs listed in the first. Drug Control Act List.

It was also shown in the chemical laboratory report that the seizures include tramadol, the aforementioned narcotics and a drug of abuse, as well as the video clip circulating on social media, in which the defendant was driving a car in a condition that indicated that he was under the influence of a drug that would endanger the lives of passers-by.
