As its name suggests, “My beautiful village” will highlight the treasures of our local heritage. This competition is reserved for villages with less than 5,000 inhabitants in the departments of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes covered by Le Progrès (Ain, Loire, Haute-Loire and Rhône) and Dauphiné Libéré (Ardèche, Drôme, Isère, Savoie, Haute- Savoy).
In total, nine departments will therefore compete in this first edition.

A departmental prize and a place in the final
At the end of March, six villages will be selected by our jury to participate in this unique operation. During the month of April, our departmental editors will take to the road and the pen, to highlight each of the six municipalities through a special double page.
After a broad presentation of the strengths of the different villages, it will be up to you, the reader, to play. Indeed, it is the general public who will elect the big winner of each department, by voting directly on our site throughout the month of April and until May 14 to vote.

Village of less than 5,000 inhabitants, sometimes little-known gems
The winning village in each of the nine departments will receive a departmental first prize and the right to access the grand final. By limiting to 5,000 inhabitants, this great competition will allow people to discover the rural areas of our territories.
Many villages, small in size, are no less large in their beauty. The idea is to highlight these sometimes unrecognized pearls. And making them known also means participating in the preservation of our local heritage.

A prize awarded by the vote of Internet users: it is up to everyone to defend their “most beautiful” village
One of the missions of our regional daily press is to follow and report the news of all the municipalities of our territory. Through this operation, our title wishes to develop this proximity by highlighting towns sometimes little known to the general public and bringing out local treasures.
Since the health crisis, local tourism has developed. “My beautiful village” will also be a guide for discovering new destinations.

Nine departments, only one winner of “My beautiful village 2021”
“My beautiful village” is not limited to a departmental price. The winners from each of the nine departments will then be able to compete in the grand final of “My beautiful village 2021”. At the beginning of June, the nine municipalities will benefit from a new spotlight in our pages, before the final vote of the general public. It will then be time to defend “your most beautiful village”. Because it is you, the reader who will elect, at the beginning of July, “My beautiful village 2021”!
