KOMPAS.com – A number of debt collectors tried to pull Agya’s car which was parked in front of the Bengkulu Police Headquarters, Wednesday (13/7/2022) afternoon.
The car owner named Yudha shouted “thief” to attract the attention of residents and police who were around the location.

One of the leasing officers, Horison, said that Yudha’s car had been in arrears for 12 months.
New car owners pay eight months in installments.
“We received a letter from the company to withdraw this overdue unit,” said Horison, at the location.
He said that the car was in arrears holding the pawn or being mortgaged by the original owner to Yudha.
Meanwhile, Yudha said, the car actually belonged to Baharudin.
Baharudin has a debt of Rp 170 million to him. Of the debt, it was paid using a land certificate and the remaining Rp 40 million was paid in one car.
“Baharudin owed me a debt and then mortgaged this car to me. I have no business with leasing. You are leasing dealing with Baharudin. So I don’t allow you (debt collectors) to pull this car,” said Yudha.
The commotion was finally mediated by a number of police officers. Both were taken to the Bengkulu Police Headquarters to resolve the issue.
Head of the Bengkulu Police Criminal Investigation Unit, AKP Welliwanto Malau, said the commotion had been resolved.
