Defeats for German NBA professionals

The German basketball world champions have all suffered defeats in the NBA. National team captain Dennis Schröder lost with the Brooklyn Nets 92:106 to the Detroit Pistons, while the brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner and Tristan da Silva with the Orlando Magic lost 85:108 to the Dallas Mavericks. Maximilian Kleber was still missing from the Texans due to injury.

Daniel Theis and the New Orleans Pelicans also had nothing to gain: they lost 111:126 to the Atlanta Hawks. Theis played inconspicuously, collecting seven points and three rebounds.
Schröder and Co. remain pale
Franz Wagner, on the other hand, was Orlando’s top scorer – but with only 13 points. His older brother Moritz had ten points, while Silva had seven. The guests’ big weakness was their accuracy from a distance: they only hit eight of 41 three-point shots and so had nothing to counter Luka Doncic, who was once again outstanding. The Slovenian contributed 32 points to the Mavericks’ fourth win of the season.
Dennis Schröder didn’t have a good day against the Pistons: he collected seven points, five rebounds and four assists.
