Martapura Dewa United defeat PSIM Yogyakarta in the race for third place League 2 2021, Thursday (30/12/2021). They also won promotion tickets to Liga 1 2022.
Dewa United played aggressively to seek victory. While PSIM more waiting, even so some dangerous chances of success were created.
Kas Hartadi’s team got their first chance through the efforts of Rangga Muslim. But his shot from the free kick still bounced.
Gufroni Al Maruf got a golden opportunity when the game was running in under 10 minutes. It’s just that the effort of the player numbered 66 is still thin.

The goal was finally created for Dewa United who opened the scoring 1-0 in first-half injury time. Gufroni Al Maruf fired hard from a tight angle after welcoming Jajang Sukmara’s cross.
Trying to change things, PSIM coach Seto Nurdiantoro made two substitutions at the start of the second half. Muhammad Ilhamul Irhaz and Arbeta Rokyawan were played to increase the impact.
Even so, Dewa United is still in control of the game. Rangga Muslim and Selamet Budiono took turns getting chances, but none of them came to fruition.
Frustrated with the situation, PSIM’s right-back joined in to let go of the experiment. But his shot sideways on the right side of Dewa United’s goal.
Imam Witoyo almost scored the equalizer for PSIM with his header in injury time. Tap Rivky Mokodompit caught him well.
The 1-0 score lasted so Dewa United won 1-0 over PSIM. That way, Dewa United became the third team to qualify for League 1 after Rans Cilegon FC and Persis Solo.
