Deezer Connect: what is it?
Deezer Connect is a feature that allows you to use your Deezer smartphone app as a remote control for other devices. This means you can easily select your favorite titles and play them on other devices. This is particularly practical on birthdays or if you want to listen to music while tidying up your apartment.
However, you should keep one thing in mind. In order to use Deezer as a remote control via a smartphone, you usually have to be logged in to Deezer on the other devices. This sounds plausible at first, but many users forget about it in advance. In practice, this means that you have to download the Deezer app on your smart TV and log in before the feature works.
The feature isn’t a unique idea from Deezer either. Competitor Spotify had released the Spotify Connect function on its own platform years before.

In addition to the Smart TV app, compatible devices for Deezer Connect include the desktop app or the web player. In addition, common tablets and smartwatches also work. According to Deezer, some sound systems such as the Apple Homepod are also compatible. The French company states that you can store up to three devices in your Deezer account and therefore use them for Deezer Connect.
