Deepika Padukone opens up about how Ranveer helped her recover from depression and feel safe
Bollywood star couple Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh were the first guests on the new season of Karan Johar’s show ‘Koffee With Karan’. Both of them have opened up about issues like love, marriage, and how they overcame the difficult stages of life together, and are now attracting the attention of fans in a big way.
Deepika and Ranveer revealed during the show that they were partners who shared their problems honestly, especially when Deepika was going through depression. Deepika says that Ranveer made a safe place for her and stayed with her patiently throughout the situation. Deepika is still undergoing treatment for depression.
“Ranveer did it by giving me room to open up. It’s okay, forget about it. Or we can go with the flow,” Ranveer told me.
“Ranveer didn’t know my condition that well. But now fully aware. Always patiently by my side, that’s when I realized what a person Ranveer is.”
Care Hospital’s Psychiatrist Dr. Kirti Keerthi says that it is important that you are fully aware of your partner’s condition. Encourage them to share their feelings and concerns, no matter what the situation. Recovery takes time, and it’s important not to make fun of or blame their situation.
Ranveer recalled during the Koffee with Karan show that there were times when he was lost and didn’t know what to do. Dr Keerthi says that the first thing to do in such situations is to formulate a behavior pattern.
“Allow them to speak without interruption. Reassure them that you will stand by them. Ask the therapist to be there for you in times of need. You should also take care of your mental health along with your partner.”
