An earthquake occurred on Monday in the Vrancea-Buzau seismic area. It was a deep earthquake that was felt especially in the cities near the epicenter.
According to the National Research-Development Institute for Earth Physics, the earthquake occurred on Monday, at 21.27, in the Vrancea seismic area.
The quake had a magnitude of 3.2 and occurred at a depth of 148 kilometers. The quake did not cause any damage.
The earthquake occurred near the following cities: 67 km E of Brasov, 87 km NE of Ploiesti, 105 km S of Bacau, 126 km W of Galati, 127 km W of Braila, 141 km N of Bucharest, 155 km NE of Pitesti, 180 km E of Sibiu, 187 km SW of Iaşi and 205 km N of Ruse.
