Slovakian seller and manufacturer of underwear, socks and other clothing Dedoles has been facing existential problems since the spring, which have led to the dismissal of employees. Following the acquisition of creditors’ claims, the company is forced to undergo a restructuring. Early in the process, it is revealed that Dedoles owes suppliers hundreds of millions of crowns, although the exact amount is not known. Now they have to close the brick and mortar branches in the Czech Republic for this reason.
In the Slovak bankruptcy register, creditors have registered credits for a total value of 43.7 million euros, or more than one billion crowns, however, according to the head and founder of Dedoles Jaroslav Chrapek, this amount does not correspond to reality.
“The medialized amount of credits does not correspond to the recorded credits, as the list also includes credits that are still the subject of litigation, some are duplicated and there are also credits conditioned by guarantor obligations”, clarifies Chrapko.
