In the Pallady area, Dedeman now owns a plot of land with an area of ​​57,000 square meters, of which 44,500 was bought in 2014 for the construction of the store. In 2019, the retailer allotted several plots of land with a total area of ​​12,600 square meters for the construction of the McDonald’s restaurant.

Of all the land, an area of ​​4,700 square meters is reserved for expropriation in order to build public roads. And of this surface, almost 4,000 sq m are part of the attached lands, it is also shown in the consulted documents.

The first restaurant opened in 2021

The opening of the first McDonald’s restaurant this year and the 88th of the network took place on March 31, in Brașov. The investment was 1.7 million euros.

Daniel Boaje, who led Premier Capital’s operations in Romania, left the company last year. His place was taken by Paul Dragan, the director of Malta. Also last year, the company invested 1.8 million euros in digitizing 60% of its restaurants.

So far, the company has invested over 800 million lei in Romania and has a team of 5,000 employees. Premier Capital plc operates 162 restaurants in 6 countries and has over 8,800 employees.

The Pallady shopping area expands

A new pole of real estate concentration has emerged in the east of Bucharest, in the Pallady area, where the lands of the former factories have become shops today. IKEA, Decathlon METRO, Auchan, Jumbo, Xxxlutz, Dedeman, Leroy Merlin, Kaufland and Lidl are the retailers that have opened the Pallady area. Along with this commercial outline, real estate projects have been developed on the adjacent lands, especially on the residential segment.
