The total confirmed cases of coronavirus in Bulgaria are already 723 433. 3 007 534 PCR and 4 069 478 antigen tests were performed (7 077 012 in total), as the average percentage of positive samples since the beginning of the pandemic is 10.22 percent – a decrease of 0.04% on a daily basis.
The number of active cases is slightly increasing and is now 95,207, which is 117 more than in the previous report. There is a decrease in the number of hospitalized persons, as they are 4511, which is 280 less (406 were admitted to hospital, 686 were discharged). There are 537 patients admitted to intensive care units – 14 less on a daily basis. 1416 people have recovered and the total number is now 598 212. 81 people died – 5 less than Thursday, when there were 86 victims. Thus, the total number of those who lost the battle with the virus in Bulgaria is already 30,014.
The Ministry of Health has already provided data on the proportion of those infected, hospitalized and deceased who have not been fully vaccinated. During the last 24 hours, 80.24 percent of those who tested positive were not immunized. 88.42% of those admitted to hospital were also unvaccinated. 93.83% of those who died during the day were not vaccinated.
