According to the latest figures published this Monday by the Ministry of the Ecological and Inclusive Transition, average prices fell a little more last week at service stations. Or the 17th consecutive week of decline recorded at the stations.
It seems far away the time to refuelessence or from diesel could be expensive, very expensive even. A year ago, in places, the diesel was around 1,800 € per liter and lead free 95 was flirting with the symbolic bar of 2 euros per liter. Values never recorded since 2013.
But that was without counting on the health and economic crisis caused by the coronavirus. Because since the introduction of containment, the price of fuels has been steadily decreasing, approaching € 1.10 per liter.
The average price of diesel on May 1 was 1.16 euros per liter, or 2.78 cents less than the previous week. This is an average, which means that in some departments we are even below.

Gasoline car owners also benefit from the drop. Last week on average, the liter of unleaded 95-E10 sold 1.2178 euros in petrol stations in France. Or 1.66 cents lower than the previous week.
On May 7, the government will have to decide whether or not to lift the confinement on May 11. Many Ile-de-France residents will therefore take their car back to their place of work.
