Inflation has been declining sharply in recent months. In August it was 4.09 percent and in September it was 2.39 percent. The downward curve is driven by energy prices, which have seen negative inflation since February this year. Last month it was -37.15 percent, compared to -28.73 percent last month and -22.83 percent in August.
