The main index Oslo Børs rose slightly from the start before moving completely flat for a short period.
Upon closing, Børsen ended down 0.80 percent. This is happening at the same time as the oil price is falling by almost one and a half percent from the early morning hours.
Several of the heavyweights pull down the main index. The oil company Equinor fell 1.27 percent, while Aker BP fell over one percent.
The Kahoot share fell close to eight percent on Thursday, and ended with a closing price of NOK 42.96. JP Morgan has downgraded its recommendation on Kahoot from overweight to neutral, according to Reuters, writes TDN Direkt. The price target is downgraded to NOK 49 per share, from the previous NOK 87.
For the second day in a row, the mobile and telecom company Ice Group is falling sharply. On Thursday, the share fell 15.56 percent and ended with a closing price of NOK 4.34. During one day in November, the Ice share fell 62 percent behind the company announced that it will raise fresh money.
Brought in the lost
The omicron variant of the coronavirus and any local and regional measures continue to be on the radar of market participants. Investeringsbanken SEB writes in a comment on Thursday that the latest information about omikron is somewhat contradictory.

“WHO said yesterday that omikron can change the entire course of the pandemic and pointed to signs that the virus variant is significantly more contagious than previous variants, but that it can also be milder,” writes SEB.
On Wednesday night, the broad US S&P 500 index rose 0.3 percent and the technology index Nasdaq by 0.6 percent.
Over the past three days, the US stock markets have recovered from the losses of the previous two weeks. Berntsen in Nordnet believes this is a sign that many investors do not expect the omikron virus to hinder economic activity to a great extent.
