(CercleFinance.com) – Weekly jobless claims fell again the week of May 23 in the United States, the statistic standing at 200,000 against 211,000 (revised figure) the previous week, according to figures from the Department of Labor .

The four-week moving average, which can be considered a better indicator of the labor market’s underlying trend, came out at 206,500, practically stable compared to the previous week (207,000, revised figure).

Finally, the number of people regularly receiving benefits amounted to 1,309,000 during the week of May 16, down by 34,000 compared to the previous week.
