declassified appearance, chassis and engine range

With the modernization, the Patriot will abandon the spring rear suspension and move to the springs “in a circle”: the front suspension will be independent, the rear axle will remain solid.

The range of gasoline units will consist of three engines developed by ZMZ in collaboration with the German company FEV. The basis of the units will be the cast-iron cylinder block of the Volgovsk motor ZMZ-406. In the atmospheric version, the new 2.5-liter engine will produce 145 forces and 240 Nm of torque, and the turbocharged 2.3-liter versions will receive two degrees of boost for 150 horsepower (330 Nm of torque) and 170 horsepower (350 Nm of torque moment). As for the resolved case, it is said about installing a 2.2-liter Ford Transit turbodiesel on the Patriot.

The familiar six-speed automatic transmission of the French Punch Powerglide will interact with the new engines, and instead of the five-speed “mechanics” Dymos, the six-band production of BAIC will debut at the Russian Prado.
