NATO: The issue of Ukraine’s admission to the alliance is related to the country’s status as a candidate for EU accession
The draft declaration “condemns in the strongest possible terms Russia’s ongoing unprovoked and unjustified full-scale war and crimes against Ukraine and its people”; it is insisted that the perpetrators of these crimes be brought to justice; it supports the preservation of the country’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as its Euro-Atlantic future, including through NATO membership.

And the Bulgarian state institutions are called upon to continue providing political, military, military-technical, financial and humanitarian assistance to the country until the full restoration of its sovereignty within its internationally recognized borders.
The Bulgarian government is expected to express support for Ukraine’s membership in NATO, specifically at the upcoming summit of the pact in July this year. in Vilnius. And the authors of the declaration appeal to our allies to use the meeting in question to outline clear parameters on the way to Ukraine’s membership in NATO.
